SharkyExtreme: You can't really get much higher than 'CEO'. Have you always been the sort of person who set higher goals and had higher aspirations in life for yourself?

Jason Hall: Maybe, I don't know. Really I think I've just been the kind of person who likes to live in a fantasy world and then make that world reality. If you can't think it, you can't do it.

When I am surrounded by a group of people who are telling me that something can't be done, I just have a tendency to think about all of those people in history who said the same thing but were wrong (as I walk onto an airplane, while talking on a cell phone on the "flat side" of the Earth...) :)

SharkyExtreme: How old are you, and how long have you been involved in gaming?

Jason Hall: I'm 29 and I have been involved in gaming professionally since 1990 when I worked at Broderbund Software. Before that, gaming was just a hobby (although as a hobby it used up a lot of my time!)

SharkyExtreme: The company bio slates you as being an obsessive gamer. What kind of games are your thing?

Jason Hall: I like games that have a large player-to-player competition element. So shooter-type games are a natural for me - but basically I enjoy any game that has a multiplayer aspect (as long as others are playing against me). I am a very competitive person.

SharkyExtreme: From gamer to CEO! (with many stops and glitches in between I'm sure). This may possibly be a situation you found yourself in: Let's say you were to overhear a parent giving their fifteen-year-old kid hell for being on the computer so much. In that conversation, you also hear the parent express in a not-so-nice way (as some do) that games are a waste of time, and that the kid should be doing something else. Do you think you'd have something to say to that parent?
