Featuring EA's Madden NFL 2001 for PC

Last week I didn't play the four games but I did guess two of them… and I was wrong both times! Who knew that the Titans were going to defeat themselves and that the Vikings were going to finally recover from that deadly slump? I felt bad for the kid Saints QB Brooks, the boy looked scared being out there in the playoffs the year after being a #3 QB for Green Bay. Next year, m'man, next year! Now, on I go to warm up Madden to give us the coming weekend destruction.

Sunday's NFC Battle

Vikings & Giants

It'll be a blustery day in New York and it seems the Giants will wish they'd stayed in their nice warm homes. I played as the Vikings. Turns out the offensive power of Culpepper to Moss and/or Carter plus the ground attack from Robert Smith overwhelmed the Giants today. Sehorn couldn't cover Moss, who racked up an easy 150 yards, Carter got 85 yards and Smith ran for 110 yards. The game was marked by a safety, which was New York's only score. Final: 20-2 Vikings.

Sunday's AFC Battle

Raiders & Ravens

I've got good news for the Raiders. I led Gannon and the crew against Dilfer and the Ravens, and let's just say that Baltimore had a very bad day. Number one defense, indeed. The Raiders dominated the game with a duel run and pass attack that racked up 298 yards total offense. The Ravens managed 87 yards total. The Raiders sacked Dilfer six times! Here's the scoring breakdown: top of the second quarter Raiders scored a field goal. Top of the third Raiders scored a running touchdown with Kaufman juking and jiving a full 40 yards into the end zone. Midway through the fourth Jett caught a 30-yard pass in the corner and at the end of the game Gannon ran it in two yards for the score. The final was 24-0. That's right, the Ravens went scoreless. Hail the dirty Raiders, AFC Champions according to Madden 2001.
