Dirt Track Racing, an affordable title retailing under the WizardWorks label, surprised many with its blend of realistic physics and arcade gameplay. The developers are taking another step into the mud with the sequel, replacing the lumbering sedans of the first game with the more lithe and bouncy sprint racers. The graphics are appealing, crisp and colorful, with dust effects and five view perspectives.

A professional racer at E3 aided in the demos of Sprint Cars, and claimed the driving models in the game are very realistic and challenging. Like gameplay in the first game, Sprint Cars will have players slipping and sliding through turns and trying hard to avoid crashes. Ratbag says the difficulty and realism levels are adjustable for all tastes, and that Sprint Cars will allow users to go as far as configuring tire pressure and suspension. Extras like 20 different tracks, Gamespy support for multiplayer games, and a price of US$19.99 just sweeten the deal.
