There doesn't seem to be an end to all these Star Wars titles now, does there? Frankly, we don't mind a bit as most of them are actually quite good. Just have a look at Rogue Squadron, X-wing Alliance and Jedi Knight, all great titles set in the Star Wars Universe.

Episode 1: The Phantom Menace will be the first title to be released based on the new movie of the same name, due out next month. In Episode 1: TPM you put on the shoes of Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon Jinn, Queen Amidala and Captain Panaka (who obviously are some of the characters we'll get the pleasure of knowing when the movie is released) and embark on an epic action/adventure as you would expect from a Star Wars game.

You'll have to battle your way through various more or less intimidating foes with any of a series of weapons that will be featured in the game, the light saber being the most enchanting one, of course. One can't help loving those odd little sounds when your blade cuts through the air and parries a laser blast. There'll also be a puzzle-solving element in the game which should attract those not keen only on pure action gameplay.

The game features a non-linear story line, which stays true to the movie, while letting you off on an odd side quest once in a while to keep things interesting.

It's all about Location. In E1: TPM you'll get the chance to explore many of the environments featured in said film. First hand of course, from a 3rd person perspective ala Hexen II. We've got everything from the majestic cities of Naboo, to the streets of Mos Espa and the skylanes of Coruscant.

Now that we've wet your mouths, time to wet them some more, here is the eye candy (yes we used to force to get these):
