Young Billy Corigan just told his father that he wants to be a MechWarrior just like Pop. Let's listen in and see what dad has to say:

"So Billy, you want to be a MechWarrior? Well, let me tell you, it's not all fun and games on the front line. Listen to this tape."

Mr. Corigan clicks the tape into the player and presses play.

A panicked pilot's voice, "My God, everyone is dead! I've got one damaged leg, half my heat sinks are out, and my cockpit is so mangled, I can smell the manure plant we just assaulted. Get a drop here quick." A pained pause, "I don't believe it. It's an Atlas rising out of that vat of liquid fertilizer. I'm firing an alpha strike"

Laser fire rings out, followed by an ominous warning sound and a pleasant female voice, "Danger, danger, massive overheating. Reactor overloading. Radiation leak detected. Have a nice day."

Then the pilot's last words, "I'm melting! I'm melting!" followed by static.

"So Billy, what do you think? Still want to be a MechWarrior?"

"Oh boy do I ever!"
